I am using SharePoint Server 2007 + C# + .Net 3.5 + VSTS 2008 + ASP.Net. And I am using collaboration portal template.
I am developing a custom aspx page and put it in _layout folder of a site and I want to apply default.master of the SharePoint site to this aspx page. Any samples about how to achieve this goal?
thanks in advance!
(I have also asked this question on Stack Overflow) I have a SharePoint feature I'm using to add some custom aspx files to the Pages Library. When I activate the feature, I can visit the pages in-browser and they are visible in SPDesigner, but when I "View All Site Content" they are not there. Why is this the case? The Feature's Elements File: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <.../Pages/Example.aspx When I "View All Site Content" I am looking at the contents of the "Pages" list: http://myserver:PORT/subsite/Pages/Forms/AllItems.aspx
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. I am developing using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 + IIS 6.0. I have put a simple aspx page into layout folder (the code is very simple, just redirect to another page, and I write inline script code in asp.net), here is my code, and I met with unauthorized error (403) when I select to browse the page from IIS 6.0 manager. I am not in Active Directory or Windows domain environment. I have enabled permission to anonymous users for the whole SharePoint site. Any ideas what is wrong? <%@ Page Language="C
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I have created a list in top level site. And I want to use the list in a child site (e.g. adding the list to a page in child site by using Page --> Add Web Parts --> Browse), but can not find the list created in parent site in this way. Any ideas how to use the list (created in parent site) in a child site? BTW: I can use the list (created in parent site) in parent site without any issues.
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I am using SharePoint Designer 2007 to design pages. When I open the default.aspx under Pages sub-folder of a site, there are two options: Edit in Browser and Edit Page Layout. I want to know what are the differences between Edit in Browser and Edit Page Layout -- especially what is the function of Edit Page Layout, because when I select Edit Page Layout, WelcomeSplash.aspx opens in SharePoint Designer, other than default.aspx itself (very confused). thanks
I am using SharePoint 2007 Enterprise + Publishing portal template + Windows Server 2008. And I am developing using ASP.Net + C# + .Net 3.5 + VSTS 2008 on SharePoint Server 2007. I am developing... is, when a user access a page for the first time in my SharePoint site which needs authentication, if there is a special URL variable in current http session called "Identity", I want to treat the user as authenticated user and using the value of the "Identity" URL variable to be the authenticated user name of SharePoint (for example, accessing my SharePoint site by URL http://mysite/default.aspx
This is mainly a verification question as I have been fighting with an issue for a couple of days now. I have two lists derived from 2 custom content types. Both content types used the task base content type. Each of the derived content types have custom form rendering templates. I am using a custom usercontrol with codebehind added to the .ascx page as a control to redraw the forms differently... did on the other form. I am wondering if it is because both lists share the same type number (107) or if it might be something else. So does each list need to have a custom type number or does
I'm trying to create folders in a set of custom lists I've created. However, when I try to do this, the New Folder button in the Ribbon is disabled. I read up on the matter; and this lead me to look to enable folder creation in List Settings -> Advance Settings. However, there doesn't seem to be an option to enable folder creation on the page. It shouldn't be a permission related issue; as I created the lists; and I'm also an admin on the farm. I could use a document library; but we will not be uploading documents to the list; so this is more then I need. What are my options, or what am I
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I have two sites of the same site colleciton and I want to use Data Source Library to make site A be able to use lists defined in site B. From site A, I am using "Connect to another library" to add site B. And from Data Source Library of site A, I can see lists defined in site B. My question is how to use such lists in a page of site A? I followed the guide here, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA101191181033.aspx
