Using the following code I should be able to access the Taxonomy Term Stores:
$site = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite("http://localhost") $session = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.Taxonomy.TaxonomySession($site) $session.TermStores.Count
Yet the TermStore count is always 0. I know I have Term Stores and Term Groups and Terms because I'm able to tag items using the terms and view them in the Term Store Management Tool. For the SPSite I have tried localhost, the actual computer name, and even the Central Admin site.
Based on my research this shouldn't be that difficult.
Can you please spot what I'm doing wrong?
If you look at the second MSDN link you listed, you'll see that the example pulls the session's TermsStores object into a TermStoreCollection and checks the count from there. I wonder if that would solve your problem...
My Managed Metadata Application Proxy was not a part of the default proxy group. After running the following command $session.TermStores.Count now returns 1! Yay!
Set-SPMetadataServiceApplicationProxy -Identity "Metadata Service Application Proxy" -DefaultProxyGroup
I have a document library using a document set content type. I can create a new document set through the UI and it works perfectly. I'm now trying to create a document set in this library programmatically and it's not working properly. Here is the code (based on MSDN documentation): // Set some properties Hashtable properties = new Hashtable(); properties.Add("UploadComplete", false); properties.Add("FilenameCode", code); // Create the set DocumentSet invoiceSet = DocumentSet.Create( list.RootFolder, code, InvoiceSetContentTypeId, properties, true); What's not working: icon
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I have two sites of the same site colleciton and I want to use Data Source Library to make site A be able to use lists defined in site B. From site A, I am using "Connect to another library" to add site B. And from Data Source Library of site A, I can see lists defined in site B. My question is how to use such lists in a page of site A? I followed the guide here, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA101191181033.aspx
from the server on which SharePoint is running, using the internal domain name (e.g. http://localhost:5050/site). If I view the site home page while not logged in, I can't see the webpart -- this is the correct behaviour. However, if I view the site via the public address (e.g. http://www.realaddress.co.uk:5050/site) while not logged in, I can see the webpart. (I shouldn't be able...I have a web part which I am trying to target to a specific audience (the 'Staff' audience.) I have the web part in the home page of a site that has anonymous access enabled. I have set the Target
I'm trying to create a view of stuff from my reusable content list. Basically I am storing global links within the reusable content list. I'm struggling with the content query webpart, because it always shows me the LINK to the item in the reusable content list - what I want it to show is the ReusableHTML Column of the specific item in the list. I tried doing so with <property name... when using these two properties. My reusable content list basically looks like so: Title ReusableHTML Static 1 <a href="#">Link 1</a> Static 2 <a href="#">Link 2</a>
in the MSDN library yesterday and it concerned me: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms434313.aspx We rely pretty heavily on the object model to provision modification to sites once they have...://mymemorysucks.wordpress.com/2009/02/25/site-definitions-vs-site-templates-and-site-provisioning-providers/ that makes a case for always using a provisioning provider over site definitions and templates, but I...There have been several questions asked on this site regarding the best way to provision sites and lists (definition schemas vs. templates vs. the object model vs. the web interface vs. provisioning
I am working on replacing our protocol handler with a Connection Framework component, so that SharePoint will crawl our data source. I think I understand the big picture, but I'm missing a lot of the details. I've read the documentation starting at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee556429%28office.14%29.aspx. I currently have a working BDC assembly; I know it works because I can make an external content type list from it. I am currently stuck on step three: "Use Microsoft SharePoint Designer to discover the DLL and create a model". I don't see where to do this at all. Under
I'm attempting to create a new user profile section programmatically but without success. The problem is with the Type property of the Property class. When I specify a value such as "section" for this, I receive the exception Data Type is not available for section. When I don't specify a value, I receive the exception UserProfilePropertySettings object must have a value set for 'Type'. Here's the code: var userProfileConfigManager = new UserProfileConfigManager(ServerContext.GetContext(site)); var propertyCollection = userProfileConfigManager.GetPropertiesWithSection(); var newProperty
All the SharePoint applications I work on use resource files to allow localisation and sitemap files to integrate with breadcrumbs. It has always been a problem to deploy and process these files... know there are a number of ways around this in SharePoint 2007, which involve basically writing your own implementation of ApplyApplicationContentToLocalServer, but I had hoped that in SharePoint 2010 this obvious flaw would have been fixed. Unfortunately the code still checks if the current user is local administrator (I used reflector on the SP2010 Microsoft.SharePoint.dll file
The definition of the 'View Only' permissions level is as follows: Members of this group can view pages, list items, and documents. If the document has a server-side file handler available, they can only view the document using the server-side file handler. What is considered to be a server-side file handler in the context of SharePoint? Is this an HTTPHandler? What technology is it based on, how do I write one?
