When you activate Group Work Lists feature in a site you get the resources list and a few other lists.
If you had the resources list to a page then you can see the list and you have to add each resource list to the page using the resources link.
What I would like to do is have the resources already included on the page when a user visits the site. So if I have 3 Digital cameras, you can see the bookings for those cameras by defualt without having to add each one as a resource.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Does that clarify the situation any better? I will try and add screenshots as soon as I can
"publishing portal" for the site collection. I have also enabled anonymous access. Now the basic function is fine, except that I do not know how to change the first front page (i.e. the page showed to end users who have not logged in yet) of the site. Here is a screen snapshot. Any ideas how to edit this page? Publishing home page http://i33.tinypic.com/2hex08j.png BTW: I have tried to edit the default.aspx after login but anonymous users could still see content like in the following list. How do I remove this for an anonymous user? Enable anonymous access You must enable anonymous access
mean is that the link will carry you to the newform.aspx page and it will load the listform webpart as I can see it when I view source. It is just not loading the template I asked it to load just like I did on the other form. I am wondering if it is because both lists share the same type number (107) or if it might be something else. So does each list need to have a custom type number or does... content type. Each of the derived content types have custom form rendering templates. I am using a custom usercontrol with codebehind added to the .ascx page as a control to redraw the forms differently
); System.Console.WriteLine(meta.Title); } } } As you can see, I fetch all the lists using GetListCollection and then, if it is a survey, I try to get the List... was not enough - I had to go to the overview page itself. Seems the lists need to be 'woken up' each morning. Is this a bug? ... because my code had fetched the GUID of the list just milliseconds earlier! Can anyone explain what is going on here? I had the same problem yesterday and at some point it just went away
I want to be able to create a list programmatically which allows end users to reorder the items in the list. There appear to be 2 steps to this. Firstly set the SPList.Ordered property to true - this bit seems easy enough. The second step would seem to be to set the default view's OrderedView to be true. Unfortunately this field is readonly. I see you can set this value if you provision through CAML but I want to be able to set this after the fact in code. Does anybody know how to do this? You can see the funcitonality I'm after by creating a Links list. Then in the Actions menu you get
and set Domain Users as Site Collection Members. When one of these users tries to take the survey, the see a list of questions up to the question with branching. After selecting their answers and clicking the "Next" button, they receive an Access Denied error. Thinking that the branching may have been causing an issue, I removed it. The users can now see the whole survey at one time, but when they try to submit their answers they still received the Access Denied error. I have tried sending an access request from a test user (as prompted by the error page), but I still received the same error
. For instance… If I add a user into the Designer site permission group I can create pages – excellent, just as I would expect. If I create a new site permissions level - let’s call it ‘customer-designer’ - by copying the Designer site permission level and then assign this ‘customer-designer’ level to a new site permission group. I then add my user into the new group and… I cannot create pages, even though the new group is based on permissions that have been directly copied from a permission set that does allow page creation Does this make any sense? Can anyone help me to understand it? Update 1
like to be able to do is group the results by the site that the item is located, much the same as a CWQP does group by . The query currently returns the webId, but I cannot see how to return the site name. How can i return this value? ...I have successfully created a DVWP which queries all lists in my subsites and returns the correct columns using the following selectcommand: <View> <Webs Scope="Recursive"><
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I have created a list in top level site. And I want to use the list in a child site (e.g. adding the list to a page in child site by using Page --> Add Web Parts --> Browse), but can not find the list created in parent site in this way. Any ideas how to use the list (created in parent site) in a child site? BTW: I can use the list (created in parent site) in parent site without any issues.
I am using SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, and I am using publishing portal template. I have two sites of the same site colleciton and I want to use Data Source Library to make site A be able to use lists defined in site B. From site A, I am using "Connect to another library" to add site B. And from Data Source Library of site A, I can see lists defined in site B. My question is how to use such lists in a page of site A? I followed the guide here, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA101191181033.aspx
